Meeting is scheduled for Sunday January 19th, 2:00, Val Tavern in Valparaiso, NE. Bobby has the side room booked for us and it's located right on main street on the corner. They offer good food so if you want to have something to eat during the meal I don't think that will be a problem. We can discuss rules, enforcement of rules, the 2014 season, points series and other items. Please continue to talk online as we won't just sit around and argue all afternoon. I believe there will be a lot of talk on the building of stock class cars front ends, so if you want to bring your car down to be looked at and discussed if it's legal or not, feel free to do so!

I want to thank everyone who showed up to the meeting last Sunday and we had some guys travel a good distance to attend. There were a number of things we went over and some rules were changed. I'm sure Todd will have the rules changed as fast as he can, but please give him some time to get it done. Once Mike get's the new 2014 rules updated on the website we will let you know. Below is some of the changes I remember, but I know I'm missing some things as I don't have my notes in front of me.
Open Class: Racing seats are now required as are neck braces and four wheel brakes, with pinion brakes being ok for rear brakes.
Stock Class: Can run aftermarket control arms, but still can't use racing shocks and springs and control arms can't be adjustable. Must have four working brakes. Racing tires got voted down again. Was pushed that officials need to enforce the stock rules hard and if your car is illegal, you fix it or load it. No more being allowed to race and just told to fix it before next race. Also might have a pre inspection date where you can bring you car to be looked over to avoid any issues once the year starts. Nobody came up with a solution for checking stock motors, so as long as you run 91 octane or less pump fuel, can pull 15#'s of vacuum and follow the other motor rules, you should be legal and nobody should be able to call anyone a cheater.
General: Points series was kept and out of state races can be in our points series as long as they follow our rules and meet some other criteria. Can once again run for points in both classes. New safety lights were shown and explained what else needs done to get them ready. Officials were also pushed to throw the black flag for rough driving to help clean it up. Cars will now be removed from the track when disabled, this is the officials call as to when it happens but expect more red flags this year. With more red flags it was brought up that those who don't stop when the red flag comes out can and will be black flagged out of the race. Restarts will stay the same as they always have been, as will the drawing for feature positions where everyone draws for the starting spots and heat qualifiers get no extra bonus.
