Wanted to announce that Napa will be a class sponsor this year. They are excited to work with us this year and we can show them we appreciate them by shopping at their stores! Nefigure8n is glad to team up with Napa and Nebraska Lottery this year!!!

I am pretty sure if you really wanted to bring two cars you can bring them both and use them however you want to do it. 82B has done this by bringing his second car and at the champ race L. Taylor ran 82B's second car after his broke in the heats. We have also done this as well when one of our cars break we will change the number and run the other car.

Rule on using a different car was voted on at Blum's shop meeting winter of 09. It was decided, yes, you could use a spare car or borrow a car to advance as long as driver is qualified to advance. Example: you break in heat race but you are eligible to run a consi. Maybe you qualify to advance to feature, but find something wrong with car and need a spare for the feature.
Then you can run a different car as long as car is identified to the driver driving it. (numbers on doors and roof must identify the driver). This was decided on as the points follow the driver not the car.

Is there going to be a meeting before the season starts for the stuff that was tabled

I can't remember what all was tabled, so if you have an issue that you want brought up please list it. I don't have any plans for a meeting and haven't heard anything from Dan. If we need to vote on an issue it can be done by e-mail. Not many weekends left till racing starts and no big reason to give up a day so we can table more issues or vote for something to be highly recommended but not required. Next meeting should be September/October to have the one rules meeting to set any new rules for the following year and vote in new officers. Thanks

I was able to meet the Pierce Fair board today and look at the track. The track will be very big and have plenty of room to move the tires as needed. The pits are huge and will have plenty of room for parking. I would say the set up is similar to David City. Entry will be $20.
The fair board is excited for the race and is using it as a fundraiser. They will have food and beer for sale during the event and then a dance following the race. They do have camp sites on the grounds with and without electricity if anyone wants to spend the night. I will be checking on hotel rooms to see what kind of price the drivers can get if they want to stay and enjoy the dance/after party. They already had an article in the paper on the race and hopefully we can get more stories ran so we can get the interest out on this new event. If it is successful they will continue to have the race. They seem like great guys to work with and are going to do their best to provide everything we have suggested. The fairgrounds is really easy to find as well.
I also checked out a stock class car being built by a local guy and it sounds like there will be a couple of new cars at the race from that area. Hope everyone plans on making the trip and we need to support these new races. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you to Draper racing for getting NeFigure8n and figure 8 racing in Nebraska onto the dirtdrivers.com message board. They are going to help promote figure 8 racing, have our schedule listed and add any rainouts as we find out about them. The Drapers took a lot of time to make this happen and it's getting NeFigure8n and figure 8 racing in front of more race fans than before! Thanks and great job!!! Also great job on getting NAPA on as a big sponsor for the group.
