Attached are PDF's of the results by driver for 2013. Please review and confirm that I have all correct results down for you. If something is incorrect please contact me prior to the Championship race on 8/24/2013 so changes can be made. Email nefigure8n@hotmail.com with anything that might need corrected.
How points are Calculated
All Drivers who compete at a Nebraska Figure 8 Events will be eligible to earn points!
Driver can only compete for points in one class
Driver will have to choose prior to season which class they will run for points in
Rules to earn points:
-Points can only be accumulated for Nebraska Shows
-Your best 10 finishes will count towards the 2012 NeFigure8n Points Championship
-Must complete at least 1 lap to get points for showing up
-50 Bonus Points will be awarded to every driver competing at the NeFigure8n Championship Race
Points Calculations:
20 points for showing up
8 Additional points for making Feature
3 Additional points for each finishing place in the feature
ex. A 10 car feature would give the following points
Last place 28 points - 20 points for showing up and 8 points for last in feature
9th 31 points - 20 points + 11 points for 9th in the feature
8th 34 points - 20 points + 14 points for 8th in the feature
7th 37 points - 20 points + 17 points for 7th in the feature
6th 40 points - 20 points + 20 points for 6th in the feature
5th 43 points - 20 points + 23 points for 5th in the feature
4th 46 points - 20 points + 26 points for 4th in the feature
3rd 49 points - 20 points + 29 points for 3rd in the feature
2nd 52 points - 20 points + 32 points for 2nd in the feature
1st 55 points - 20 points + 35 points for winning the feature
*Last place in the feature will always receive 28 points and then 3 point increments from last to 1st. The more cars in the feature the more points you will earn.
Tie Breaking System:
In the event of a tie in the final standings the following system will be used:
1. Wins
2. Top 5's
3. Features Made
4. Best Feature Finish
5. Races Attended
Rookie of the Year:
Each class will have a rookie of the year. To be eligible you have to have run less than 6 career races. Points are accumulated the same as described above.
* Note: To win the Rookie of the Year you have to compete in at least 5 races in that class during the season.
