Hello. Shane you write that "and the other (car) sits". Why does it sit? Why not allow some one to drive it. I realize no points, I get that, but why not run for the money? Say....you qualify in the heat, you then drive to the pits and get out of your car. You slip and cut your hand. You can not drive. So, in your opinion, and the rules, you are required to load it. Or, you qualify in the heat, and some other driver you blasted comes over in the pits and gives you the what-for. Your arm is now broke. You now can not drive, so, you are required to load it? In my opinion, I think you should be able to allow another driver to drive your car in the final. (yes, he must sign the form, have all safety gear, helmet and such). Possibly, at least, have the option to do that? You can always load your car if you choose to. You also write that the car that sits takes a spot away from some one else. Well, my thought is, that some one else should have been faster or better in the heat race.
Also, to change up a little. I think this is now a given, but, it should be stated; When Nefigure8N is continued, ALL book work, checking account balance, and in-go, out-go, should be made public. WHY it is not now public, is a wonder. I wonder.........as many else do. Is the account set up for non-profit? I will ask Scott what his opinion is. David Bryan

so let some one else drive it, and as far as some one coming over to another car drivers pit and breaking his arm would be uncalled for and should be banded from the rest of the race. cause if that was to ever happen to me it would get ugly very fast.

I just wondering what would be the point of all the cars in the feature geeting paid the same. If we all got the same money what would be the point of pushing our car to the limit and chance breaking something. If all drivers got paid the same people that spent the money to do well would not have the chance to break even. I think going with the top 5 pay out would be better. after that they could pay the same. If they went with the top 5 it would still not be hard to flag.
Would like to here what people think P.S. Im glad the guy with 2 cars didn't get first in D.C. or there would really be people talking. If some one thought they got hosed out of a spot they need to rember they had 2 chances to get in the finale

Hello. Chris, I think you are right. I think there should still be a first, second, third, possibly forth, with a higher payout. The point is trying to end the confusion after the race is over. Our crew can always get first, second, and usually third. We do that in all heats and consolations anyway. The counters count these races to get the finals correct, which as we all know, does not happen that often. I still like the idea for 1, 2, 3, then the rest of the field the same payout. This is some thing that will need to be talked about at one of the meetings as well. David Bryan

Dave - I maybe wrong but there hasn't been that many problems with getting the feature places correct this year or am I wrong? The only one I can really remember was Lincoln.
Me personally I would perfer the payout breakdown to stay like it is currently with a breakdown all the way to last place. There is still a pretty good gap between last and 4th or even 6th. With how competitive it is now the top 5 to 8 are still on the lead lap and should get more of the purse than 12th who usually doesn't finish the race. We need the full results anyway for points (if they are continued). I can see it from your point of view as less hassle that night but if there is a good tape there it doesn't take more than 10 minutes to watch it to get the correct standings. I think everyone understands that errors can be made because everyone involved is human. As long as you are willing to watch a good tape to get them correct is what matters.

Hello Mike. I am not against the full payout. It would be great if that can be done, and get it correct every time. The problem is reality. Who will run the video. I know the Nefigure8n has a video, but where were the people power to actually use it? We must find that "some one".
I know most tracks will not change. The system of counters will stay for a time. I do know though, that there will be some shows that will change to 1, 2, 3. I am not sure if drivers will stay away from these shows or not. I do know the tracks that used the 1, 2, 3, no checks needed to be traded, and drivers were on the road sooner.
I feel a system or policy needs to be in place, if a track wants to use the 1, 2, 3 style.
We WILL have a head set or two this Sunday available to a person or two, who wants to be our guest. I would prefer to loan a head set radio to some one who does not care that much about our calls. IF those types, full of hate, do not step up, then the offer is open to most any one. I feel there is a lot of people who would love to listen in. Here is your chance. You will be required to stand along side one of the track officials, not simply sit in the stands. You will be required to communicate. Also, not that it would ever happen, but, if you break it, you pay for it. Let me know 402 366 1437. Thank you. David Bryan

I would have to agree with Mike, I would like to see the payout stay as is. If you are going to pay 1,2,3 I think competition is going to suffer. For instance if you have a car get hung up in a corner and now after 1/2 way and you are running 6th why not pull off and save your car, you are going to get the same payout anyway unless we keep the point system and start a point fund to pay out to drivers at the end of the year. Then you have every car racing hard for every spot putting on a good show for the fans. Is gps a possibility? I know when we raced circle track McCool used it. NeFigure8n did have a vote and someone was suppose to tape each race. Thank-you Jeff Draper

Hello. Just a quick note to remind all people that the AUCTION is this Saturday the 15th. This auction is in place of the HymarkTowing/Raptor fabrication auction.
This auction is in AURORA,
NOT in Staplehurst.
This auction is for both demoltion derby and figure 8. Both cars and parts. To sell cars or parts contact Eric Smith at: 402 694 1746 Cars should be dropped off Friday. Parts should be brought Saturday morning.
I will sell many new parts, GM Ultra Bells, fresh TH400, shifters, fan hubs, etc. I will also have a 74' Chevy Impala 2dr (no engine or trans) there to auction off.
Good times for all. David Bryan

Proud to announce that Nebraska Lottery will be back to help support the group in 2012! They helped make the 2012 point series be free to enter and you can race for the 2012 Nebraska Lottery NeFigure8n Points Series Trophies. We are also going to do trophies for the top 10 this year in each class, instead of just the top 5, along with rookies of the year in each class.
